Lee Miglin (1925 – May 4, 1997) was a Chicago real estate developer who made millions in the building boom of the 1980s. Miglin was the third victim of Andrew Cunanan's 1997 murder spree. He was gouged, stabbed and tortured with five-foot-long pruning shears before he was ultimately defeated by a garden saw to the throat.
Born to a coal miner of Lithuanian descent, Miglin eventually became a prominent figure in Chicago real estate. In 1989 J. Paul Beitler, Miglin's partner, began to trumpet a proposed 125-story structure to be built in Chicago; however, the Miglin-Beitler Skyneedle was never built.
The concept of integrating office and warehouse space, commonly referred to as a business park, is credited to Lee Miglin.
Miglin was married to former model and cosmetics executive Marilyn Miglin.[1]
